No guarantees in Life

In Life there are no guarantees
It forever throws things at you
You may be ready or not
But the flow is constant
I always believed in the good
Never thinking defeat a possibility
Risk-taking was never a problem
I believed that we got what we gave
Maybe I should have looked before I leaped
But being analytical has hurt me to
Nothing ventured nothing gained
At times I should have made the leap of faith
If you don’t fight your battles
You lay down and die
If we do not step up to the challenge
We have lost already
If we don’t dream
Our dreams will never be forfilled.
So let go of the fear
Reach out for the flame
So what if you get burned
If you don’t try you loose
I am determined to live
I am going to take those chances
And in living my life my way
I will make it what it was meant to be
