A daisy from a rose

One day whilst working in my garden
My neighbour said I beg your pardon
But I have spied a noxious weed
And it is about to go to seed
Allow me to remove the pest
For noxious weeds I do detest
I lept up and pushed her to one side
Saying in a voice quite horrified
When you have come right to your senses
You will se that is the rare horrida natalensis
The neighbour was apologetic
Explained she had never studied plant genetics
She is a rare breed – one of those
Who cant tell a daisy from a rose
And while her yard is neat and clean
There is not a flower to be seen.

Making life complete

When you feel down cast and despondently sad
And you long to be happy and carefree and glad
Do you ask yourself as I often do;
Why must there be days that are cheerless and blue?
Why is the song silenced in the heart that was gay?
And then I asked god what makes life this way,
And his explanation makes everything clear.

The soul has its seasons the same as the year.
We too must pass through lifes autumn of death
And have his heart frozen by winters cold breathe
But spring always comes with new life and birth
Followed by summer To warm the soft earth
And oh what a comfort to know there are seasons.
That souls like nature must too have their seasons.

Bounteous seasons and barren ones too.
Times for rejoicing and times to be blue,
For with nothing but sameness
How dull life would be.
For only lifes challenge can set the soul free
And it takes a mixture of both bitter and sweet
To season our lives and make them complete

Building walls

I built myself a solid wall
To fend me from life’s care
To keep out agonies and hurts
I could no longer bear
I vowed to keep away from love
From emotions to be free
Believing that they brought but pain
How cruel I was to me
For when the wall was strong and sound
And I secure inside
I found what misery really meant
My friends were all outside

Dreams to god...

As children bring their broken toys
With tears for us to mend
I brought my broken dreams to god
Because he was my friend
But instead of leaving him
in peace to work alone
I hung around and tried to help
With ways that were my own
At last I snatched
Them back and cried
“How can you be so slow?
My child he said
What could I do
You never let them go

I knelt to pray

I knelt to pray but not for long
I had to much to do
Must hurry off and get to work
For bills would soon be due
And so I said a hurried prayer
Jumped up from off my knees
My christian duties now were done
My soul could be at ease
All through the day I had no time
To speak a word of cheer
No time to speak of christ to friends
They would laugh at me I feared
No time not time to much to do
That was my constant cry
No time to give to those in need
At last was time to die
And when before the lord I came
I stood with downcast eyes
Within his hands he held a book
It was the book of life
God looked into his book and said
Your name I can not find
I once was going to write it down
But never found the time

Ever wondered?

After all is said and done, usually more is said than done.

I am a nobody. Nobody is perfect. Therefore, I am perfect.

Why do we choose from just two people for president and 50 for Miss America?"

Ever notice that people who spend money on beer, cigarettes, and lottery tickets are always complaining about being broke and not feeling well?

Snowmen fall from Heaven unassembled.

Regular naps prevent old age..... especially if you take them while driving.

The next time you feel like complaining, remember: Your garbage disposal probably eats better than thirty percent of the people in this world.

Dating and men

Take the initiative!
Don’t sell yourself short!

Guess what guys are just as nervous about approaching us
as we are about approaching them.

So bolster yourself
Dress for success –
(Don’t forget the perfume!)
and go out on the manhunt……..

Smile – make eye contact
Look him up and down
Is he the kind of guy you want?
Then don’t hold back….
Use your feminine charm to wind him in!

Remember most men are not as egotistical as we women think,
Most would rather be hiding behind their next drink
Or engrossed in sports as a cover up for their real desire
That of having a real woman to love and hold and share with.

To get his interest you need to be proactive,
Come across as a “Babe in total control of herself!”

Think of dating as a game of bridge.
You either wind up sitting next to a dummy
Or trying for a slam…..
I know which I prefer

The making of life

Life is made when a person makes a decision, has an intention,
thinks about, decides upon the things they truly want to have or to be,
or the things they need in order to move forward.
Visualizing clearly with the intention making things happen.
Once a decision is made, the Universe conspires to create what you intend. You are the co-creator. The Universe awaits your decision.
This is how you create your own reality with your thoughts. It really works if done correctly. It has everything to do with intention and belief and making a decision.
Picture this - A man got into a cab to go someplace and the cab driver just sat there. The man said why are you just sitting there, lets go! The cab driver said “Because you have not told me where you want to go. The man said, “I don’t know where I want to go.” So there they sat.
Therein lies the answer. If you do not know what you want or where you want to go you will just sit there. Think of the Cab driver as the Universe, waiting for instructions to bring you what you want. If you do not place your order you will either get nothing or you will get what ever you think about.
Most people think about what they don’t want or they think about lack. They see themselves with nothing, they visualize the worst. The universe sees their thoughts and gives them what they don’t want. The universe sees their fears and creates their reality with that.

Take control of your life today
be the artist of the tapestry of your life
Make it happen!
